An exciting opportunity exists for a Coordinator, Pacific Islands Trade & Invest Network to join the Secretariat. This job exists to coordinate the PT&I network, and Investment Policy advice to the Forum Island Countries, assist in developing and executing trade and investment promotion strategies, and deliver private sector development strategies to FICs.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• Lead, in close consultation with the Trade Commissioners, a process of continuous improvement and strategy development for PT&I;
• Provide timely and high quality briefings correspondence, reports and analysis as required;
• Lead in investment policy advice coordination to FICs i.e. assist with emerging requirements from investors; regulatory reforms; harmonisation of national investment policies;
• Establish and implement trade and investment plans for the PT&I network.

A review of the governance arrangement of the PT&I network is in progress, the outcome of which may change the duties of this position.

Applicants should have an appropriate degree (e.g Business studies, Business Administration, Management, International Trade, Marketing, Pacific Studies) and minimum 5 years demonstrated experience. Candidates should demonstrate experience and success at practitioner level in project management, strategic planning, financial management, marketing and promotion, international trade, enterprise development for growth, sustainable development. Applicants should also have the ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders including high level government officials and private sector.
